When not freelancing as a solution focused coach, facilitator, team developer and researcher (as Steve Onyett Consultancy Services), Steve is Senior Development Consultant for the Care Services Improvement Partnership - South West where he leads on leadership, teamworking and R&D. He is also Visiting Professor at the University of the West of England and has national roles running the Learning for Improvement Network for Leadership and Teamwork Development (www.icn.csip.org.uk/leadership) and the “Developing Effective Leadership for Social Inclusion” initiative within the National Social Inclusion Programme. Steve's background is in clinical psychology and has held a wide range of clinical, research and management roles in both provider and commissioning organizations and has published widely. His passions include approaches to development that build on strengths and develop positive relationship within complex systems, jazz piano improvisation, and cycling or walking in beautiful places.
