Mark McKergow commented on Vic Williams's blog post 'Is this, MSF, really group SF struggling to evolve?'
Hi Vic A belated thanks for this post. I had not heard of MSF before, must look into it. BTW you might find a livelier discussion by posting this kind of interesting observation to SOLUTIONS-L, our interactive email listserv. Thanks…

Is this, MSF, really group SF struggling to evolve?

I just found about about "Most Significant Change" and I think the basic pattern matches SF. I'm hoping that others might explore http://mostsignificantchange.org and beyond. My interpretation is that stories of the most significant changes are collected from the population/clients/beneficiaries, a subset is selected, and the more vital MSF are used for program improvements. It looks to me like MSF could grow with inputs from SF people.See More

Feedback/Change/Improvement cycles: Agile people refer to Lean's PDCA(later PDSA) Plan Do Study Act improving cycle. But agile better matches Boyd's OODA loop/cycle. Observe Orient Decide Act. Boyd bits: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OODA_loop…

Where are you based? (City & Country)
Vancouver, Canada
In which role(s) do you use SF ideas and tools? (You can pick more than one)
Leader, Coach, Consultant, Trainer
What is your website (if any)?

What is your connection to Solution Focused Work (based on Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer at BFTC Milwaukee and others)?
I use process work as a coach (www.processwork.org) and it matches the agile/scrum/lean/entrepreneur pattern that I found that some of you are exploring. So I'm intrigued. SF matches what I do (I think). Or I should say. I think SF is congruent?? I do what works and follow natural patterns.
