Hi Vic A belated thanks for this post. I had not heard of MSF before, must look into it. BTW you might find a livelier discussion by posting this kind of interesting observation to SOLUTIONS-L, our interactive email listserv. Thanks again Cheers…

It reminds me of the ladder of inference. And makes me wonder about the 'roots' of the ladders. I think inference can be viewed as a cycle, change perspective to change inference. Scale is more like good 360 review.

Feedback/Change/Improvement cycles: Agile people refer to Lean's PDCA(later PDSA) Plan Do Study Act improving cycle. But agile better matches Boyd's OODA loop/cycle. Observe Orient Decide Act. Boyd bits: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OODA_loop en.wikipedia.…

What is your connection to Solution Focused Work (based on Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer at BFTC Milwaukee and others)?
I use process work as a coach (www.processwork.org) and it matches the agile/scrum/lean/entrepreneur pattern that I found that some of you are exploring. So I'm intrigued. SF matches what I do (I think). Or I should say. I think SF is congruent?? I do what works and follow natural patterns.

Is this, MSF, really group SF struggling to evolve?

I just found about about "Most Significant Change" and I think the basic pattern matches SF. I'm hoping that others might explore http://mostsignificantchange.org and beyond. My interpretation is that stories of the most significant changes are collected from the population/clients/beneficiaries, a subset is selected, and the more vital MSF are used for program improvements. It looks to me like MSF could grow with inputs from SF people.

Jumpstart into Solution Focus

You want to learn more about "Solution Focus"?
You prefer a "step by step" introduction instead to start with reading some
voluminous books?
You would appreciate to have a complete "helicopter view" on SF after the first step already?
