Hi Katalin,
Sorry for the long delayed reply. Things are moving at a great pace before I leave for the UK on Sunday and from there off to Sweden. There is much exitement over SOL-SA 1 in 2011.
At my farewell in Bucharest I said: "I came here with a dream and I'm going back living the dream. In the spirit of ubuntu we say I am who I am because of who you are. I want to say I'm becoming someone because of who you are. I greated you with "ayoba",i.e. its great to see you. I say farewell with "hamba kahle", i.e. walk safely because I want to see you all again.
I hope this answers your request.
I have personally experienced ubuntu at SolWorld Bucharest. Thank you for being part of it.
Best wishes.

Viel Glück und viel Segen für eure Zukunft!
Freu mich schon auf Budapest, vielleicht kommt meine Frau auch mit, sie arbeitet als Trainerin und Kunsttherapeutin (und liebt Budapest).

Liebe Grüße

Hello Katalin,
Thank you again for information about (maybe) strolling around in the beautiful Schwis scenery!
Right now I'm in the beginning of the Solutin Surfers first training program at CLUES, with Björn Johansson. My challenge is to get a grip of it and also to try and transform it into group and organisation level. Now and then I'm asked to plan meetings to get more dialogue and action around health promotion and supportive invironments (i use future search, open space, world café and other 'home made' methods). I just saw the wbsite: www.odworldsummit.org that you wrote about on the list. Inspiering and a lot to learn from. Thanks! Sussan

Hi Kati,
Thank you for your kind comments en the contributions. I am a relative newbee to the sf field and still have a lot to learn. Reflection of what I'm doing is a very important part of my daily life as a coach. People like you are an immense help in this since there is not many in South Africa that can help me wih this - something I hope to change for others who would follow me with sf in South Africa. The challange is however much larger than this. In SA there is a movement to professionalize coaching through the development of a code of ethics that includes supervision as well as standards and criteria for coaches. To be part of the coaching scene in SA sf needs to be branded as a ligitimate and equally effective approach to coaching. And we have to do it in such a way that the inclusive and collaborative openness of sf to other coaching models is clearly shown. It is quite a challenging task.
I would be interested on the results of the analizing of sf conversations. For myself I think that one of the underestimated instruments in sf is the scaling tool. Personally I try to make as much as possible of the position "n" in the here and now. What makes it "n"? What did you do yesterday that makes it a "n"? What did you do today that makes it"n"? What can you do today to make it"n"+0.5? = and many more questions of the same trend.

Thankfully yours.

Hi Katalin,
Thank you for the gracious invite. And yes I would be interested in the link with GROW. I am trying to define the distinctiveness of sf to a South African community of coaches where sf is virtually unknown amongst business coaches, especially in the north of the country.
Best wishes.

Dear Kati, I'm very much looking forward to stepping on that island again - it was a stop-over when we got there on our itw boat trip - and to experiencing how the wind and the sea empower meaningful meetings and encouraging solutions. warmest greetings Armin
