Kevin Clouthier commented on Mark McKergow's blog post Explanation focused or progress focused?
"Hi Mark, Thanks for the fascinating post. The use of a 2x2 matrix to descern the distinctions of this conversation is very helpful. The quadrants that you have applied are unique and as such assist in making a distinction that is distinct, if I may…"

What is your website (if any)?
What is your connection to Solution Focused Work (based on Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer at BFTC Milwaukee and others)?
Trained as a family therapist, I have been practising solution focused therapy since 1986. As my interest in the practices and methods of business continues to grow, i earned an MBA from Queen's University in 2003 that has provided tremendous depth and knowledge of business for aperson who has laboured in not-for-profit public sector environemnts throughout my career. The learning I made regarding for-profit businesses while in the MBA has been a temendous opportunity to gain knowledge of motivation and practices associated with the goals of such a business.

I currently have a therapy and consultation practice that I can devote significantly more time to since the departure of our grown children from our home to pursue their own passion. I continue to live with Lynda, my wife of 26 years and our dog, Sadie.

I have a particular interest in SF as a vehicle for organizational change and as a vehicle for the delivery of positive psychology within organizations. Additional interests relate to leadership development, management practices, execulative coaching and training social service and business people in this method.

You prefer a "step by step" introduction instead to start with reading some
