I like how Mark comes up with a way of explaining the importance of looking at your resources that I haven't seen before. How did you get to point A? I think this will help me share SF with more people.

Texel goodie 2: Plenary Jaap Peters

can you please create with me the youtubevideo which inspires us to take more selfinitiative?

i was inspired by the idea of how to create an organisation, where structure supports and not disturbs selfresponsibility

Workshop: Guerilla Goodness. Hit and run to change the world
Presenter: Lisa Boelaert & Herwig Deconinck
Place and time: Proeflokaal, friday 15 may 2009 at 11:45

maybe it's a good way of creating change in complex systems to do a specific act of "goodness" and hope for uncountable but useful impact. And if so: hit and trust (as Jenny inspired the change of wording from hit and run: not less intens and dynamic, i would say!)

compearble to me with the SF principle of if something doesn't wor… Continue

On presuppositions

This one I can thank Wolfgang Regele for, back to 2006 he had a question on the list on "how to show managers, that too early presuppositions can narrow the ideas for solutions". this was the moment that I linked this small cartoon with our topic...

Hi Kati,
Thank you for your kind comments en the contributions. I am a relative newbee to the sf field and still have a lot to learn. Reflection of what I'm doing is a very important part of my daily life as a coach. People like you are an immense help in this since there is not many in South Africa that can help me wih this - something I hope to change for others who would follow me with sf in South Africa. The challange is however much larger than this. In SA there is a movement to professionalize coaching through the development of a code of ethics that includes supervision as well as standards and criteria for coaches. To be part of the coaching scene in SA sf needs to be branded as a ligitimate and equally effective approach to coaching. And we have to do it in such a way that the inclusive and collaborative openness of sf to other coaching models is clearly shown. It is quite a challenging task.
I would be interested on the results of the analizing of sf conversations. For myself I think that one of the underestimated instruments in sf is the scaling tool. Personally I try to make as much as possible of the position "n" in the here and now. What makes it "n"? What did you do yesterday that makes it a "n"? What did you do today that makes it"n"? What can you do today to make it"n"+0.5? = and many more questions of the same trend.

Thankfully yours.

Hi Katalin,
Thank you for the gracious invite. And yes I would be interested in the link with GROW. I am trying to define the distinctiveness of sf to a South African community of coaches where sf is virtually unknown amongst business coaches, especially in the north of the country.
Best wishes.

I've also formed a website (only the main page is available in english). I'll share texts and other experiences with you soon.

Dear Kati, I'm very much looking forward to stepping on that island again - it was a stop-over when we got there on our itw boat trip - and to experiencing how the wind and the sea empower meaningful meetings and encouraging solutions. warmest greetings Armin
