Hi Sue

Lenzerheide is not that fare away from Fontana Passug (by bus or car). The mountains are close and has a very nice "walking-friendly" lake all flat with nice views and walking paths.

That's also were I did the small commercial for summer retreat last year (although you don't see that much).

I think it's worth for you to have a closer look at.

Hi Sue

Wow, that is great of you to help fulfill your mothers dream. There are a lot of mountains in Switzerland that are wheelchair-friendly. I also have made good experiences in Austria - where the infrastructure mostly is a little bit better. I am on my way to geneva and berne, but let's skype on saturday or sunday.

Hi Everyone, I have a travel question for the group. My mother has been to many parts of the world but not to the mountains in Europe. This is the last travel wish she still has, and I would like to take her to the mountains this summer to fulfil her wish. We have some challenges in this task - she is nearly 84, almost blind, and can only walk very short distances. I need to find somewhere where she can experience being in the mountains without having to walk up hills or steps! - ideally it needs to be wheelchair-friendly, and with access to mountain lifts. A nice hotel with spa/wellness facilities and good accessibility would be ideal. Can anyone suggest a destination, hotel, website, company etc to help me with this quest? I am thinking of the Alps but there may be less obvious destinations to consider. I shall be very grateful for any suggestions. Thanks in advance. Sue

Sitting in HUngary under my walnut tree and thinking of you, travellers!
In the summer half of the year you can use this old house in the middle of an average HUN village http://www.szentmihaly.ch.vu/ Let me know.

Zarine is a lovely host. I have had the lovely opportunity to enjoy her lovely house & garden in UK. Can't wait to meet her one day in Sweden and India :-) Thank you Zarine!

Hey Dominik, what a cool idea to start this group! Sf'ers are welcome to visit with me - in the UK I live near Cambridge. I also live part of the year in Sweden & in India (Nilgiris). Next planned travels: summer break Sweden, Sept/Oct in India. Very happy to hear from folks in the area ...

Actually I do not know yet. We will travel the southern half of France during the summer until we find a place where we want to settle.
