- I work as a coach, trainer & consultant at Ilfaro which I founded together with Liselotte Baeijaert in 2007. I am also trainer and staff member of the Korzybski Institute in Bruges (www.korzybski.com).
I have a background in Philosophy (MA) and History of thought (MA) and followed the 4 year training in Solution Focused Brief Systemic Therapy at the Korzybski Institute in Bruges.

One of my coachees was struggling with a complex problem. A new team member is going to be introduced in two weeks time and an old one took another job. As the new team member needed to be seated close to his newly assigned mentor, this meant that the whole team (they are working in one big room) had to change desks. Islands are the key areas of expertise/ operation, Buoys in different colours are where each dept believes it has good experience and expertise and finally anchors are where, knowing what they know abut the future - they see the best areas for collaboration and partnership. These depts are geospatial depts so the marine metaphor is perfect.
